The Museum of Indian Culture runs an interactive hour on Lenape life before Europeans arrived: housing, clothing, food and how the seasons in the eastern woodlands shaped all three. Free, hosted by the library Friends.

Ninety minutes off the normal route through Henry Mercer's concrete castle: tower stairs, hidden passageways, the rooms the standard tour skips. Steep and dark in places, age fourteen and up.

A short Wednesday morning storytime built for two year olds and whatever bear they brought along. Thirty minutes of stories and songs, then time to play.

Staff from the state senator's district office set up at the library to help with PennDOT paperwork, property tax and rent rebates, PACE cards and SEPTA passes. No appointment.
