HOWLoween 5K & 1-Mile Dog Walk
The HOWLoween 5K and 1-Mile Dog Walk sends runners and leashed dogs through Parkside Place Park, followed by a fall fair with 50-plus raffle baskets and an 11:30 costume contest. Proceeds go to Home at Last Dog Rescue; it steps off the morning of October 31.

Five miles out and back to the Evans-Mumbower Mill, with stepping stone creek crossings and a rest at the mill. Moderate pace, roughly thirty minutes a mile. Restrooms at the trailhead.
