Board games spread across the whole community room before the school year swallows everyone's evenings. Ninety minutes, open to families, at the Abington branch on Old York Road.
DIY Backpack Charms
Grades three through twelve make a charm to hang off a backpack. An hour in the community room with all the materials supplied. Registration recommended.

Close to five hundred carved jack o lanterns line the Delaware Canal towpath, lit by volunteers at sundown every night for a week. Free, rain or shine, with parking at the Fuld and Morgan lot.
