The historical society reopens its lecture season after summer. Free local-history talks at 7:30 in the John Barnes Room, in person or on Zoom. Speaker and topic get posted in early fall.

Second Wednesday, second talk of the season. Same 7:30 start in the John Barnes Room, same free admission, in person or on Zoom. The society posts the speaker closer to the date.

A themed night in the plaza at SORA West with seasonal food, cocktails and a band. The 9's Band takes the October 10 slot, the last one of the year.
Rock of Ages
The Tony-nominated jukebox musical built on eighties arena rock, running three weeks on the riverside stage. Recommended for ages 14 and up, and children under four are not permitted in the theater.
McConkey's Market
Soaps, balms, candles, home goods and treats made from plants grown in the park's own kitchen gardens, sold for one Saturday in October. Money goes back into the gardens and their education programs.
