The Friday walk runs twice, eleven in the morning and two in the afternoon. Three dollars, ninety minutes at most, and a naturalist doing the naming.

Admission is waived all day at the preserve on River Road. Roughly a hundred acres of native plants along the Delaware, plus the trails and the visitor center.

Labor Day, and the street stays closed. Four blocks of Gay Street without cars, restaurant tables out in the road, and the shops on either side open for the holiday.
Last Day of Daily Mini Golf at Alverthorpe Park
The mini golf course at Alverthorpe Park runs every day through Labor Day, then drops to weekends only for the rest of September. This is the last everyday round of the year.
Festival of Fountains at Longwood Gardens
The fountain season runs to the end of September, and the gardens stay open on Labor Day Monday when most of Chester County is closed. Closed Tuesdays. Timed tickets sell out on holiday weekends.
