James A. Michener Art Museum
Pennsylvania Impressionist paintings hang inside the stone walls of the 1884 Bucks County prison, which closed in 1985 and reopened as a museum in 1988, named for Doylestown's own James Michener. The collection runs to more than 2,700 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper.
