Make a day of it
Pick a day, a town and who's coming. We'll line up the whole day: places that are open when you get there, what's on that day, and the drive between each stop.
Lining up your day…
How we plan a day
- Every place on the plan lists hours that cover your whole visit. A place that doesn't list hours only makes the plan when nothing that does fits, and its card says to check.
- Events come from our calendar for that day. Shows and classes are timed so you arrive before they start; festivals and markets fit in whenever they're on.
- Places on our best-of lists move up, and so do the things that suit who's coming: playgrounds for kids, outdoor seating for the dog, somewhere nice for two.
- Long drives count against a plan, and so does the drive home, so the day stays close. Doing the same kind of thing twice counts against it too.
- Another version reshuffles the close calls. Keep the stops you like and the rest of the day plans around them.
Hours are the ones each place lists, and they change, so check before you go. Drive times are estimates; the Google Maps button has the real route.
