Controla Friday at Pivot Ballroom
Controla takes the floor on the first and third Fridays of the month at the Lancaster Avenue studio. Latin social dancing on a proper ballroom floor rather than a cleared corner of a bar.
Los Besos Milonguita
The first-Saturday tango night at Pivot, one of three milongas on the studio's September calendar. Argentine tango classes run Wednesdays here, so the floor knows what it is doing.
Monday Samba and Foxtrot at Pivot Ballroom
Drop-in ballroom on Monday nights through September, samba at 7:45 and foxtrot at 8:30. No partner needed and no sign-up, twenty dollars at the door or a card of ten for $150.

Labor Day, and the street stays closed. Four blocks of Gay Street without cars, restaurant tables out in the road, and the shops on either side open for the holiday.
Last Day of Daily Mini Golf at Alverthorpe Park
The mini golf course at Alverthorpe Park runs every day through Labor Day, then drops to weekends only for the rest of September. This is the last everyday round of the year.
Festival of Fountains at Longwood Gardens
The fountain season runs to the end of September, and the gardens stay open on Labor Day Monday when most of Chester County is closed. Closed Tuesdays. Timed tickets sell out on holiday weekends.
