Cruise into Kindergarten
A story time built for kids about to start school, with music, creative play and exploration folded in. Forty-five minutes on Tuesday afternoons in the children's department.
Acorns Story Time
Story time pitched at one-year-olds, half an hour of stories, songs, fingerplays and rhymes. Wednesday mornings in the children's department, with a second session at 10:30.
Chair Yoga with Kim
Kim Slattery runs a modified chair class in the Struble Room, forty-five minutes on mobility, balance and breathing. Beginner friendly, and registration closes two hours before the start.

Newtown's first restaurant week, run by the business association. Participating kitchens put out prix fixe menus for seven days. The lineup gets posted closer to the date once restaurants finish signing up.
