Science with Food at The Candy Lab
Candy slime, homemade pop rocks, and the Diet Coke and Mentos eruption, for ages six and up. Ninety minutes on a Friday evening on Haverford Avenue, thirty five dollars.
Halloween Crafting at The Candy Lab
An hour of Halloween crafting made entirely from candy and food, on the Friday before Halloween. Grades K through 5 build the edible kind of art at the Haverford Avenue lab.
Election Day Camp
Schools close for the election, so the Haverford Avenue lab runs an hour of candy crafting that morning. Aimed at grades K through 5, and everything the kids make is safe to eat.
Around the same time
Babies Boogie Storytime (Ages birth-24 months)
The Monday morning sitting of the same storytime, thirty minutes of songs and bounces for babies under two, with play time after. Registration is optional.
Music and Movement
Songs, instruments and moving around for small children, Monday mornings in the large meeting room. The branch is closed for the holiday on October 12, so that one week skips.
Crawl O'Clock
An hour of open-ended play for babies and toddlers on the move: pop-up tunnel, soft climbing blocks, sensory tiles, shakers and scarves. Come for the whole hour or five minutes.
