Rummikub at the Newtown Library Company
An hour of Rummikub at the library on Centre Avenue, every Friday afternoon. Tiles and tables are already there, you just show up. Regulars will walk you through the rules.
Mahjong at the Newtown Library Company
Four players, 144 tiles and two hours in the library after closing time. Preregistration is required, and the table money goes back to the Newtown Library Company.
Children's Storytime at the Newtown Library Company
Picture books, songs and a take-home craft in the children's reading room of the 1760 library. Built for ages zero to five with a caregiver, and kids pick their own books afterward.

Babies Boogie Storytime (Ages birth-24 months)
The Monday morning sitting of the same storytime, thirty minutes of songs and bounces for babies under two, with play time after. Registration is optional.
Crawl O'Clock
An hour of open-ended play for babies and toddlers on the move: pop-up tunnel, soft climbing blocks, sensory tiles, shakers and scarves. Come for the whole hour or five minutes.
Music and Movement
Songs, instruments and moving around for small children, Monday mornings in the large meeting room. The branch is closed for the holiday on October 12, so that one week skips.
