Happy Tuesday! This week's edition is coming out a day late, because when Monday is a holiday, Tuesday becomes the de facto Monday. From there the week just carries on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Math checks out.

Behind the scenes, I'm building the systems that support this newsletter, with plans to go daily. Soon you'll get something in your inbox every weekday, starting next week or the week after.

Here's what I'm thinking for the format:

1. Morning, out here: A quick hello, the weather, and a snapshot of what the day holds.
2. TL;DR: The edition's highlights for anyone giving it a quick scan.
3. The Lead: One standout plan for today, with the details that make it easy to go.
4. Today, out here: Events across the burbs, grouped into today, tomorrow, and the weekend.
5. Worth Keeping: Handy links to local guides, maps, lists, and the full calendar.
6. Worth Knowing: Seven short local updates, from openings and community news to useful finds.
7. The Good Part: A closer look at a local story, place, or event worth more than a one-liner.
8. Seen Out Here: A local Instagram post worth a look.
9. The Wrap: Me, just writing and wrapping it up.

This will probably shift a bit as I get your feedback. The goal is simple: give you a real sense of what's happening around you. Things to do, places to check out, no crime, no politics. Just good local news, and the kind of small spots and events worth telling your friends about.

It's always nice to know what you're doing without spending an hour searching for it. That's the job I'm signing up for.

A couple other things I want to get going:

1. Gathering live feedback from people actually at events, so you hear what people on the ground really thought.
2. Interviewing burb business owners. People want to hear about them, from them.
