Pennypacker Mills
Governor Samuel Pennypacker's mansion, a circa-1720 house redesigned and enlarged in 1901 by architect Arthur Brockie, runs free guided tours starting on the hour and half-hour, Tuesday through Sunday. The rooms are still fully furnished with the antiques he collected chasing early Pennsylvania history.

Friends of Pennypacker Mills 15th Annual Craft Marketplace
Fifteenth year of the craft fair on the mansion grounds, handmade goods plus food. Run by the Friends group, so the money stays with the site. Free parking on the meadow.
Porch Performance: Edgar Allan Poe
A Poe performance on the mansion porch, outdoors and open to all ages. Bring a chair or a blanket. Sponsored by the Friends of Pennypacker Mills, about ten minutes up Route 29.
All Hallows Eve Fall Festival
Kids paint pumpkins, shuck corn and press apples into cider on the county mansion grounds, with a scavenger hunt and a hayride around the meadow. Free. The mansion itself stays closed that day.
Holiday Tours at Pennypacker Mills
The governor's mansion gets decorated for an early 1900s Christmas and opens for tours on the hour and half hour, running from this day through January 3. Last tour of each day starts at 3 p.m.

Historic Trappe
Three museum buildings along West Main Street in Trappe, the next borough over from Collegeville: the Speaker's House, the Muhlenberg House, and Dewees Tavern, whose five galleries hold Pennsylvania German furniture, fraktur, textiles, and pottery. Open Fridays through Sundays in summer, with Muhlenberg House tours departing on the hour from Dewees Tavern.

Historic Summerseat
A 1760s mansion that served as George Washington's headquarters December 8 to 14, 1776, and was later owned by Robert Morris and George Clymer, both signers of the Declaration and the Constitution. The Historic Morrisville Society opens it for $7 tours the first Saturday of each month, 10 to 1.
