Phoenixville breweries: seven taps on one street
A barn-to-brewery garden, a taproom you have to find, and a vegan menu most breweries skip.
Phoenixville packs more taprooms onto Bridge Street than most towns put in a whole borough. This is a walking list: seven places that actually brew, pour, or keep a tap wall, all inside the same few blocks.
-
Beer brewed in a converted barn they call barn to brewery, with a beer garden and a low-ABV IPA named Sugar Coated Pony Kisses. "The biergarten is just perfect on a nice day," K says on Google. Open Monday and Tuesday from 5, earlier the rest of the week.
-
Small brewery tucked behind a building at the bottom of Bridge Street; finding the door is part of the membership. Outdoor seating, revolving beers, and food trucks when they park.
-
A big open taproom in the old Superior Beverage building at 1 N Main, with Sunday brunch and a vegan menu most breweries skip. Hours run Monday through Thursday 4 to 10, later on Friday and Saturday.
-
Rebel Hill's Bridge Street taproom at 242 Bridge. The catalog keeps it simple: another tap wall on a street that already has plenty.
-
Conshohocken Brewing's rec-room taproom at 230 Bridge, across from the Colonial, with pints next to games you have not played since middle school.
-
A basement brewcade under 119 S Main: pinball, pool, and pints below street level. "Pretty good selection of games" and "beers on tap are really good," Jeff says on Google.
-
Coffeehouse by day, listening room by night at 203 Bridge. Flat white in the morning, songwriter showcase after dinner, with Thursday hours that run until 10.
