The Best Restaurants in Lansdale

In Lansdale, the street map and the dinner map disagree. Trust the dinner map — ours goes ten deep.

Lansdale's best kitchens don't cluster politely downtown — the top of this list is a chef-run sushi BYOB off Pennbrook Parkway that fills up by 6 on a Saturday. Below it: a gastropub with a taxidermied bear watching the bar, a tavern that's been feeding this town since 1919, and a barbecue argument with two legitimate sides. Yes, we picked a side. No, we're not sorry.

1

Umai Japanese Restaurant

A chef has run this sushi BYOB off Pennbrook Parkway since 2008, and the omakase reaches for mackerel sashimi you won't find at the strip-mall spots. Bring a bottle from the store nearby and book ahead — the room fills by 6 on a Saturday.

220 Pennbrook Pkwy, Lansdale, PA 19446

2

Stove & Tap Lansdale

The original Stove & Tap, holding down the old Molly Maguire's space with a taxidermied bear named Biff watching over the bar. Regulars log every pour on Untappd because the tap list turns over that fast — get the wings while you decide.

329 W Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446

3

White Jasmin Thai Cuisine

A family-run BYOB on Main Street where the menu pushes past pad thai into Poor Man Noodles, Hangover Noodles, and a proper khao soi. The vegan side runs deep enough that nobody's stuck picking at tofu and broccoli.

5 W Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446

4

Mikonos Restaurant

Kosta Karali cooked Greek in Jersey for 15 years before opening on South Broad, and the lemon potatoes prove it. Lunch is the lamb gyro; after dark the room dresses up a little, and the galaktoboureko is baked in-house.

620 S Broad St, Lansdale, PA 19446

5

Ristorante Toscano

Old-school Italian on North Broad: a keyboardist plays through weekend dinners and Cousin Tony's ravioli headlines the pasta list. Doors open at 4, and when the season lands, so does a Feast of the Seven Summer Fishes.

213 N Broad St, Lansdale, PA 19446

6

Panico's Neighborhood Grill & Sports Tavern

Feeding Lansdale from Cannon Avenue since 1919 — it opened as Molettiere's, and the same family is four generations in. The cheesesteak is what regulars argue about; the Don Robbie sandwich is the sleeper pick.

530 N Cannon Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446

7

Wister's Barbecue

The crew that took over the old Smoke Daddy's on South Broad gives pork butts the house dry rub and an overnight smoke. The order is the deep-fried brisket mac-and-cheese bites — chopped brisket folded into mac, panko-breaded, and dropped.

575 S Broad St, Lansdale, PA 19446

8

Smokehouse Tavern

Brisket and pulled pork come off a real smoker on Pennbrook Parkway, with ribs the regulars keep coming back for. The curveball is a genuinely good pizza on a barbecue menu, plus a whiskey list deep enough to keep the bar busy on its own.

155 Pennbrook Pkwy, Lansdale, PA 19446

9

Valentino's Bistro

Breakfast and lunch only from a family that's run it for years — the kitchen goes dark at 2. The eggs benedict comes on real lump crab, and it's BYOB, so bring a bottle for your weekend table.

518 N Broad St, Lansdale, PA 19446

10

Noor N Spice Kitchen

A halal kitchen on East Main where kacchi biryani and Bihari kebabs share the menu with cheesesteaks and wings. The tandoor runs till midnight most nights, later than just about anything else in Lansdale.

217 E Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446
