Montgomery County has eight bars running trivia night, and they spread from Conshohocken to Jenkintown to Lansdale. Some are gastropubs with deep beer lists, one is a distillery, and one has been pouring since 1919. Here is where to bring a team.

A Cannon Avenue tavern that has been feeding Lansdale since 1919, now four generations deep and still in the family. The cheesesteak is what regulars argue about; the Don Robbie sandwich is the sleeper pick. Trivia night is one of a rotating cast of weeknight events. "Always a good vibe for me when I want to come out," Aaliyah says on Google.

The crab cakes are homemade and the wings have a following, but the real draw is Flight Night: $20 for four of the bar's signature cocktails. Trivia and music bingo keep the back tables loud most weeknights, and the bar stays open until 2 a.m. daily.

Three ex-management consultants started distilling here in 2016, which is where the name comes from. The West 3rd Street tasting room pours self-serve canned cocktails and sells the whole in-house lineup, from vodka to their Turtle Rabbit blanco tequila, plus cocktail workshops most weekends.

Ambler's own brewery on East Butler, named for the creek that once ran the tanneries. History in the name, fresh hops in the glass. "Fun trivia night," Heather says on Google, though she notes it does not seem to be air conditioned.

A self-declared better beer bar that was stacking craft drafts before craft went mainstream. Upscale burgers and sharable plates from the kitchen, and taps that hold out until 1 a.m. on weekends. Troy on Google names Wednesday buck-a-shuck and music trivia night as the draw.
