Maxwell's On Main (MOMs)
The Main Street gastropub that has been doing Southern-leaning American cooking and weekend live bands since 2010. Ten craft ales always on tap, chicken and waffles on the menu, and a second-floor patio worth angling for.
Mesquito Grille
Mesquite-smoked barbecue and craft taps on West State, with a covered patio for the good months. Upstairs there's a rugby room called the Dragon's Lair, which tells you most of what you need to know about the regulars.
Pag's Pub
A proper State Street pub: 24 rotating drafts, fifty-odd whiskeys, and a brick oven turning out thin-crust pizza. The patio is heated in winter, which tells you how they feel about you leaving.
Penn Taproom
The reliable middle of a Doylestown night out: rotating craft taps, a garden patio out back, and live music Thursdays and Sundays. Monday trivia at 8 and $7.99 Tuesday cheesesteaks keep the regulars on schedule.
