Blue Heron: Event Space
Blue Heron is an event space on East King Street, in the walkable stretch of downtown Malvern. It's the kind of room you book for a wedding or a milestone party, not a Tuesday night out.
Historic Sugartown
Preserved 19th-century crossroads village with a general store, carriage museum, the circa-1805 Garrett House, and a working book bindery. Grounds are open daily 9 to 5 year-round; guided tours run Saturdays and Sundays May through November, with parking at 273 Boot Road.
Historic Waynesborough
Georgian house museum that was home to Revolutionary War general Anthony Wayne, held by seven generations of the Wayne family from 1724 to 1965. Now a National Historic Landmark on ten acres in neighboring Paoli, run by PhilaLandmarks as a tour-able house museum.
Horace J. Quann Memorial Park
Horace J. Quann Memorial Park is a neighborhood park on East 1st Avenue with basketball courts and open space. Small, walkable, and close to the middle of town.
John & Marion Herzak Memorial Park
A low-key memorial park off Old Lincoln Highway, near a cluster of other small green spaces on Malvern's northern edge. More of a pass-through patch of grass than a plan-your-day destination.
Jungle Land
Indoor play space on Lancaster Avenue — sensory room, toddler area, play houses, and a junglegym, with a sitting area that keeps the whole floor in view so parents can actually sit down. Party dates typically book out three months ahead.
Paoli Battlefield Historical Park
The site of the 1777 Battle of Paoli, where a British night bayonet raid on Anthony Wayne's men turned into a Revolutionary War rallying cry. Open ground with walking paths and one of the oldest war monuments in the country.
Paoli Memorial Grounds and Malvern Memorial Park
This is the Paoli Battlefield, where Continental soldiers were killed in a 1777 night raid during the Revolution. Now it's quiet grounds on Monument Avenue with one of the country's oldest Revolutionary War memorials and marked graves.
People's Light
Professional theater on a seven-acre campus with two stages, the 140-seat Steinbright and the 340-seat Leonard C. Haas, the latter built into a historic stone barn. Classes, student matinees, and the Fern and Fable restaurant round out the year-round operation.
Randolph Woods

Theodore S. A. Rubino Memorial Park
A small memorial park off Old Lincoln Highway, named for Theodore S. A. Rubino. Green space on Malvern's edge for a bench break or a lap with the dog.
Wharton Esherick Museum
Wharton Esherick's hand-built hillside studio is the exhibit itself: a National Historic Landmark for Architecture holding his furniture, sculpture, and hammer-handle chairs. Tours run March through December, Wednesday to Sunday, advance reservations required.
Willisbrook Preserve
126 acres of Natural Lands woods and meadow, including 20-plus acres of the rare Sugartown Serpentine Barrens, a state-designated Wild Plant Sanctuary since 2010. Free, open dawn to dusk, dogs on leash with no exceptions.
