West Rockhill Township's park on the old James farmstead, dedicated in 1975, with a half-mile walking path, a pond, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a tot lot, two pavilions, and a dog park. Heritage House, the restored farmhouse at its center, became home to the West Rockhill Historical Society after 2011.
Bucks County's biggest municipal park at 122 acres, dreamed up by Sellersville's David Cressman and built by the WPA in the 1930s, with twin Roebling suspension bridges strung over the East Branch Perkiomen. Come for the 18-hole disc golf course, the 3-plus-mile creek path, or the ice rink once the pond freezes over.
The spillway pours over a low WPA-built dam into the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek, the natural halfway point on the loop that circles this 122-acre park straddling Sellersville and Perkasie. Twin suspension bridges from the Roebling company (the Brooklyn Bridge people) cross the water just upstream, and the lake behind the dam was dedicated in September 1937.
Nineteen holes threaded through the town park off Walnut Street, with a creek and pond in play on enough of them to swallow a disc if you get greedy off the tee. Concrete tee pads, three pin positions on nearly every hole, restrooms by 1 and 7, and it costs nothing to play.
The town's whole history stuffed into an old schoolhouse: 19th-century farm tools, local sports memorabilia, and fashion sketches by designer Katherine Berkemeyer spread across two floors. It only opens the second full weekend of the month, noon to 4, and the special-exhibit room swaps its topic every time you come back.
